Three persons suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run case near the Sama Indoor Sports Complex late on Tuesday night, prompting the Vadodara city police to book an unidentified four-wheeler driver in a case of rash driving on public way and endangering personal safety on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on Tuesday when a speeding car crashed into two street vendors and a senior citizen couple, who were riding a motorcycle. The police are yet to trace the car driver, who has been captured in CCTV footage in the vicinity. Based on the complaint by a vegetable vendor Vinodkumar Agarwal (51), the Sama police station has lodged an FIR against the unidentified four-wheeler driver for reckless driving and endangering the personal safety of others.

The man, who was riding the two-wheeler has also sustained injuries but is said to be out of danger. The injured were rushed to a hospital by locals late on Tuesday night.
Officials of Sama police station told The Indian Express the probe had been initiated and teams of the police had begun a search for the vehicle.
