CHANDIGARH, May 9: Hitesh Angrish8217;s unbeaten knock of 82 runs guided Fighter Cricket Club to victory over Bedi Cricket Club by six-wicket in the fourth Nand Lal Memorial cricket tournament at PGI today.

After initial hiccups Fighter XI achieved the winning target in the 22nd over. Hitesh whose unbeaten knock of 81 runs included 12 boundaries and one sixer, helped the team to gain victory.

Earlier, Bedi Club scored 163 runs in the allottted 25 overs. Jagdish with 61 runs was the main run getter for the team.

Sanjay, Girish and Iqbal got two wickets each for the winners.

In another match played at the DAV Senior Secondary School, Piccadily XI defeated DAV Coaching Centre by six-wicket.

Yuvraj Singh fine half-century 52 helped Piccadily XI score victory over DAV CC.

Rakesh Jolly 32 and Ajay 32 not out were the other batsmen to score for Piccadily XI.

For DAV CC Rahul 34 was the main scorer.

JAL XI got a walkover from Miglani XI who failed to turn up at the venue.

In another match Tari Cricket Club beat Punjab Ware Housing Corporation by 6 wickets. Madan Lal, who got four wickets for Tari CC, restricted the rival batsmen from scoring and the team was back to the pavilion in the 15th over for a paltry score of 111. Madan was ably supported by Aman and Prem. The duo also scalped two wickets each.

In reply Tari CC got the winning total in the 14th over for the loss of four wickets.

Sandeep Saini 34 not out, Vikram 27 and Jatinder 25 not out were the main batsmen to score for the eventual winners.
