MOHALI, Aug 17: The Punjab PWD Public Health coordination Committee has denounced the decision to shift Public Health Sub-Division 9 from Mohali to Patiala and threatened to agitate in protest if the decision was not reversed.
The committee, which met here today, alleged that the decision was taken on the basis of incorrect calculation of the sub-division8217;s workload at only 12.5 lakh where as the actual workload is nearly 2.16 crore.
The committee has demanded an inquiry into the working of the Public Health Circle and charged that the underestimated workload figure was a deliberate ploy to harass and humiliate the staff.
