HDFC has reported a 29 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 236.05 crore for the third quarter ending December 2004 compared with Rs 182.81 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal.

Income during the October-December quarter rose by 13 per cent to Rs 848.01 crore in comparison to Rs 747.22 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. For the nine-month period ending December, the net profit stood at Rs 688.8 crore as against Rs 553.81 crore in April-December 2003-04.
