SYDNEY, AUG 29: World champion Grant Hackett swam the third fastest time in history to power away with the 1500 metres freestyle final on the last day of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championship here today. Hackett won in 14min 45.60sec.

US won three of the four finals to go level with Australia on 13 gold medals, but they won the championship on team points.
