Gujarat seeks NGO help

VADODARA, June 10: Gujarat Minister for Narmada Development and Irrigation Projects Jaynarayan Vyas has sought the cooperation of various non-governmental organisations in awarding compensation and rehabilitating the people affected by the Sardar Sarovar Project SSP.

Addressing a meeting of NGOs in the state, Vyas said all NGOs and welfare organisations should join the government for the next two years to extend 8220;all possible help8221; to those hit by the ongoing project.
