AHMEDABAD, JUNE 27: The Gujarat Government today launched Gujarat Infrastructure Agenda: Vision-20108242;, one of the biggest infrastructure investment opportunities in Asia, involving Rs 1,16,993 crore.

Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha inaugurated the scheme at a function organised by the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board here.

The Vision-20108242; has highlighted 383 infrastructure projects with an investment of Rs 1,16,993 crore to be implemented in a period of ten years, according to its agenda.

The agenda envisages private investment of around Rs 95,000 crore, making it the most ambitious plan for private investors in the history of Indian infrastructure.

Gujarat had attracted investments worth US dollar thirty billion in 39 years after its formation. Vision-20108242; projects would have an additional investment of 30 billion dollars in the next ten years and 70 per cent of it would come in the next four years, the agenda said. Apart from projects in the Vision-2010, two other projects totallyworth Rs 3,125 crore were also in the pipeline and 64 projects worth Rs 11,435 crore were under implementation.

8220;Vision-2010 is the first comprehensive infrastructure plan which considered inter-sectoral linkages,8221;the agenda said.
