NEW DELHI, May 13: The grievance redressal unit established at the Raj Niwas in March last year will be transferred to the Public Grievance Commission. The details of the transfer will be decided by the Chief Secretary.
Grievance cells on the lines of the already existing unit will be set up in the MCD, DVB, NDMC, DDA and the Education Department. All officers dealing with the public have been asked to strictly adhere to the public hearing schedule, between 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. No other business or meetings will be scheduled during this period. Most of the departments have already finalised their citizen8217;s charters. Citizens have been asked to assert their rights and demand that the departments adhere to the commitments made in the charters. Each department will ensure that the complaints received by their cell are looked into.
