
The Punjab government has envisaged an ambitious programme to revamp the entire education system to develop state-of-the-art education facilities including three new international-level universities and a number of professional institutes. This was stated by Bikram Singh Majathia Minister for Information and Public Relations, Water and Sanitation, Science and Technology Punjab, while presiding over an annual day function 8216;Virasat 20088217; of Guru Gobind Singh Public School at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan on Saturday. Majithia said that a new university will set up in Amritsar at a cost of Rs 4000 crore and a central university was coming up at Bathinda.
