
AMRITSAR, Aug 14: The result of B.Ed Entrance Test conducted by the Guru Nanak Dev University on July 26 was declared here today.
According to Dr Om Avasthi, Coordinator of the test, Ashu Humanities group roll number 39042 topped the test by securing 239.78 marks out of 312.50. While Monika Sharma Science Group roll number 23461 stood second by securing 234.59 marks, Kulwinder Pal Science group roll number 28247 secured the third position with 229.83 marks.
Avasthi said on the basis of the merit of this test, admissions to B.Ed course in the colleges affiliated to the GNDU, Punjabi varsity and Punjab University, will be made.
He also informed that NCTE had given recognition to two new education colleges 8212; one at Pathankot and the other at Ludhiana 8212; from this academic session with 60 seats each. The admissions, however, would be possible only on production of letter of affiliation from the concerned university.
Dr Avasthi said more than 35,000 candidates from all over the state appeared in the test in 126 centres.
