
Panama plane crash kills 10
PANAMA CITY: A Panamanian passenger plane crashed on Wednesday over eastern Panama in poor weather, killing all 10 on board, aviation officials said here. Six Panamanians and four US citizens died when the aircraft, operated by the Panamanian airline Aerotaxi, crashed in Kuna Yala, one of the country’s most popular tourist areas, said Eustacio Fabrega, director of Panama’s civil aviation authority.

TEHRAN: The Montreal Protocol Fund has granted Iran 3.4 million US dollars to help wipe out substances which destroy the ozone layer. The environment protection organisation’s public relations department announced here on Wednesday that the fund would be used to destroy destructive substances.
Fire kills four
HONG KONG: Eight people were killed and four injured when a fire ripped through an eight-storeyed building in Changchun in China near the North Korean border, it was reported on Thursday.More than 300 people were in the building when the fire broke out.
