Younis may miss Sahara; Akram, Saqlain doubtful
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan speedster Waqar Younis’ nagging injury problem has put the cricket selectors on a difficult task of naming quality bowlers for the five-match Sahara Cup series against Indian in Toronto. Younis has not played for his county side Glamorgan since June 24 following elbow injury, before taking four for 26 in his last game for the county side at Bedfordshire.
With indications that Younis is now a doubtful starter, the Pakistan selectors have much more to worry about as Wasim Akram and off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, may also opt out of the tour following their county commitments.

Lancashire’s Ian Austin and Kent’s Mathew Fleming are favourites to take Ealham’s place, but both would have to be pulled out of current championship matches if they were selected.
