Girl drowns at Gurgaon Gymkhana

GURGAON, May 18: An 11-year-old girl drowned in the HUDA Gymkhana swimming pool in Gurgaon yesterday afternoon.

The girl had reportedly come for her swimming classes. Yesterday was the first day of her classes. Sources claim that there were no marks on the pool identifying the shallow and deep side of the pool. Though there were many children who had also come for the classes, no one reportedly noticed the girl drowning. Her father, Mittar Sen, found her lying on the floor of the deep side of the pool. Neither the coach nor the other children who were busy learning the skills of swimming noticed her.

According to the Gymkhana officials, 8220;Sen had become a member 15 days ago. We do not have any information about him.8221;
