KUALA LUMPUR, APRIL 4: Germany today defeated New Zealand 3-0 to stay unbeaten in the Ninth Sultan Azlan Shah Cup tournament at the National Hockey Stadium in Malaysia.

Germany, who came from behind to beat South Korea 4-3 on Friday, started off cautiously, but Sascha Reinelt fired the team8217;s opening goal in the 18th minute for the only score in the first half.

Germany8217;S Benjamin Kopp scored the second goal in the 45th minute thanks to a penalty corner rebound. Christian Wein scored the final goal in the 68th minute.

Germany will meet Malaysia tomorrow while New Zealand takes on Pakistan. Pakistan have scored convincing 6-2 and 6-2 wins against Canada and South Korea respectively, but are yet to win this tournament.
