CHANDIGARH, Jan 20: Government College for Men, Sector 11, Chandigarh thrashed SCD Government College, Ludhiana 12-2 in the opening match of the Panjab University Inter-College zonal softball tournament at the PU Campus today.
Vijay, Amit, Sumit, Vinod, Rakesh got two points each for the winners while Gurdeep and Mandeep scored one goal each for the losers.
In another match PU Campus got the better of GGN Khalsa College, Ludhiana 14-4 and moved onto the next round of the meet.
Swatantar Sharma scored three goals for PU Campus. Udyaveer Singh, Mohinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh and Bhupinder Singh also contributed two points each to the score.
