MUMBAI, AUG 29: India's Gaurav Gadodia and Veronika Subertova of Czechoslavia fought out a marathon battle in the sixth-round of the Junior World chess championship for the Blind and Visually Impaired being held in Kortrijk, Belgium, according to a AICFB release.At the end of a full six hours and 77 moves, both players called truce and agreed to split the point. The two of them who were joint leaders at the end of the fifth round and now have 3.5 points at the end of the sixth and penultimate round.Devos Piet of Belgium continued his amazing run with yet another victory over Vlach Karel of the Czech Republic. With six points from as many rounds, Piet is already the champion, irrespective of the outcome of the final round. Following one point behind Piet are top seed Hervais Adrien of France and Anna Stolarczyk of Poland.Gadodia plays Neskovic Bojan of Yugoslavia in the final round and has the advantage of playing with white pieces. A win will ensure a medal for Gadodia in the under-18 section. In theoverall championships for the under-21 title, Gaurav is placed 13th.
