8220;Motherhood has not only changed my life, it has made me a complete woman. I feel blessed to have a daughter and she is the most wonderful thing to have happened to me,8221; says the actor, who had won the best debut female in the Filmfare Awards in 1998.

Mahima8217;s bundle of joy Ariyana is now more than a year old.

8220;Motherhood and fatherhood is something everyone should experience in their lives. It is simply unmatchable. She Ariyana has been bliss for me,8221; she beams, while speaking on the sidelines of a function organised by a liquor company at Hotel Park Plaza last evening.

8220;I thought my life would slow down after having a child, but it has rather raced up,8221; she said while speaking to the audience in a jam-packed hall at the hotel. Having starred in over 30 movies, Mahima started her career in 1997 after she was reportedly shortlised from amongst 3000 participants in the audition for the role of Ganga in Subhash Ghai8217;s Pardes.

Declaring her love for the state and its people, she remarked, 8220;Punjab is full of pretty girls and good-looking men. It has always been a pleasure to come to this part of the country where there is beauty all around.8221;

Commenting about item numbers and skimpy dresses becoming a fad, she said, 8220;It varies from person to person and I don8217;t believe by doing all this, one can become more successful.8221; Apparently, Mahima seemed impressed with new releases that have been based on nice themes. 8220;I really loved Mumbai Meri Jaan and there have been some nice releases in the recent past,8221; she said.

When asked about acting in a Punjabi movie, she replied that she would not mind acting in Punjabi flicks. 8220;Punjab is going global and Punjabi music is now sold internationally,8221; she said. About her upcoming acting projects, she said that she was finalising a few scripts.
