SATARA, April 22: A truck ferrying a marriage party turned turtle near Aher village on Pargaon-Lonand Road in Khandala on Tuesday, injuring 41 people including women and children. The condition of 10 was stated to be serious.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Satara and the others were treated in Khandala.

The driver of the truck MH-11/ F-4560 lost control on the vehicle and it skid off the road trying to avoid a motorcyclist coming from opposite direction, Khandala police said.

Theft case
Pune: Milind Dadu Karande, a youth from Nana Peth, was yesterday arrested by Cantonment police on theft charges. Police said Karande had stolen a handbag containing cash of Rs 10,000 from Shivhari M Prasadan on Tuesday afternoon.
