NEW DELHI, January 19: Fort William and Cavaliers chalked out contrasting victories over their rivals to set up a title clash in the Ratanada Golf Cup at the Army Equesstian Centre ground here today. In the first semi-final, Fort William routed Panchsheel/Arty 3-1/2 while in the second Cavaliers overpowered Sailors 5.5-5. Fort William galloped past Panchsheel/Arty without much difficulty. S S Rathore, Tony Singh and Tarsem Singh scored a goal each for the winners, while Panchsheel/Arty who started with a half goal on handicap failed to score.

Atul Gupta scored five goals to enable Cavaliers oust sailors in the other semi-final which was an exciting affair. Cavaliers started with a half goal on handicap which proved to be decisive. At half time, Cavaliers led 2.5-2 and at the end of the third chukker it was 4-3.5 in favoure of Sailors. In the last chukker Cavaliers scored two goals as against one by Sailors to win the match. For the losers G S Pandher scored all the five goals for them.
