A former national sportsman has been arrested here for allegedly committing a robbery, police said today.

Vikas Tomar 21, a national wrestler, was arrested near Apollo hospital in South district by sleuths from Special Cell of Delhi Police.

Tomar, along with his associates Pradeep, Sandeep and Kailash, had allegedly committed a day light robbery at gunpoint in the office of a share broker in Chandini Chowk locality here and looted Rs one lakh, police said.

Accused Tomar had participated in National Wrestling Championships, they said.
