
MUMBAI: India8217;s foreign currency assets FCA fell by US 612 million taking the total to 30,131 million during the week ended October one, 1999, according to Reserve Bank of India8217;s weekly statistical supplement.While SDRs were also down by US eight million, gold reserves were up by US 58 million during the period. The total foreign exchange reserves were down by 104 million to 32,849 million during the week.
The non-food credit was up by Rs 4,062 crore, while the total accommodation provided by scheduled commercial banks to the commercial sector including investments in corporate paper this year amounted to Rs 11,321 crore.
