Forecasting model work to begin soon

PUNE, Dec 3: With the ISRO8217;s green signal, the work on the project will commence in Pune next fortnight. While the DRDO-ISRO interaction cell of University of Pune8217;s Space Science Department will perform the task of principal investigator, the project will involve collaboration with country8217;s leading research institutions based in Pune.

These include the Central Weather Observatory of India Meteorological Department, IITM, Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics IUCAA and National Centre for Radio Astrophysics-Tata Institute of Fundamental Research NCRA-TIFR. he library and highly advanced computing facilities at these institutions will also be utlitised.
