This beer bash perked up an otherwise dull Friday

If there8217;s anything that goes well with beer, it8217;s summer! So the 8216;Beer Garden8217; invite sent in by city-based industrialist and a senior golfer IPS Mann along with Carlsberg8217;s Pradeep Gidwani, also managing director of South Asian Breweries did take us by surprise. So what if we are inching towards a stiff winter, it sure didn8217;t stop the city8217;s swish set from settling with their chilled beer bottles under a moonlit sky at the CGA lawns this Friday. Setting the mood for the evening, which by the way went by an unofficial black and green dress code, was the duo from Medieval Punditz 8211; Gaurav and Tapan 8211; who dished out groovy music that did get the select gathering on its feet, though in spurts. But what truly had everyone asking for more was the sumptuous live grill, quite graciously manned by Madhavi Awasthi, the ruling Mrs India who is also from the city. Speaking of invitees, the well-attended do saw model Shreya Singh do the rounds with a set of friends, as did golfer Gurbaaz Mann and the county8217;s leading amateur player Harmeet Kahlon. Making the most of the nippy weather were the ladies who played up the style quotient with vibrant colours and jackets. And the chilled beer did wonders to send the spirits soaring on an otherwise limp and dull Friday.
