NAGPUR, Nov 2: Uttar Pradesh gained five points by virtue of their first innings lead of 35 runs against Vidarbha when they bundled the hosts for 260 as the four-day Central Zone Ranji Trophy match ended in a draw at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground here today.

Vidarbha, who added 23 runs to their overnight score of 237 in 17.1 overs in their first innings reply to UP8217;s first innings total of 295 all out, gained three points from the match.

Uttar Pradesh were 166 for five in 67 overs in their second innings, when the play was called off after the ninth mandatory over.

MP-Railways draw

NEW DELHI: The Central-Zone match between Madhya Pradesh and Railways ended in a draw with MP crawling to 215 for three in their second innings on the fourth and final day.

Madhya Pradesh, who also drew their first match against Vidarbha,earned five points from this tie on the basis of the first innings lead to take their tally to 10 while Railways got three points to add to the eight they bagged against Rajasthan.

Brief scores: Madhya Pradesh 266 and 215-3 Sodhi 100 not out, Bundela 57 not out vs Railways 226.
