Felicitated for Special Olympics

MUMBAI, June 18: The Home for the Mentally Deficient Children, a residential institution catering to the destitute, court committed mentally retarded children, will felicitate one of its students who has been selected to participate in the Special Olympics in the United States.

Mangal Patil, who has won gold medals in the National Games held at Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Secundrabad and Bangalore organised by the AWMH in badminton and athletics, has been selected to participate in the Special Olympics World Summer Games to be held at North Carolina from June 25 to July 4. The programme will be held on June 19 at 11 am at the Mentally Deficient Children Home, V N Purav Marg, opp Anushakti Depot, Mankhurd.
