PONDICHERRY, MAY 22: Maharashtra boys and girls started their campaign in the 50th Junior National Basketball championship with wins over Nagaland and Bihar respectively this morning. Last night, UP outplayed West Bengal 77-70 in extra time, after the match was tied 63-63.

Group B: Pondicherry 58 bt Gujarat 39; MP 69 bt Chandigarh 43.
Group C: Delhi 61 bt Goa 24; Punjab 77 bt Orissa 33.
