Export norms

NEW DELHI, Aug 11: Export procedures have been further simplified with the Director General of Foreign Trade DGFT now allowing exporters to obtain advance import licence on ad hoc norms fixed by technical committees without any limit until it is modified or notified by the special advance import licence committee.

The simplified procedure contained in handbook of procedures also decentralises and permits regional licensing authorities to issue the export house certificates, a release said. Post-export duty entitlement pass book could be claimed in respect of shipments made prior to issuance of pre-export debt.
