PUNE, Feb 24: Esterelli (C Rajendra up) trounced her rivals and decisively won the Bouldnor Plate, the feature of 32nd day of the Mumbai meeting, run on Wednesday at Mahalakshmi. She was third till the home turn and with moderate efforts she took the commanding position at 300 mts. and sailed away untroubled.

The combination of trainer Zadmal Singh and jockey McCullagh scored a double. Trainer S K Sunderjee and jockey C Rajendra pushed their winning tally by 2 points each.

20 feared dead after moving bus catches fire in Jaisalmer

A moving AC sleeper bus caught fire on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Highway, leaving around 20 people dead and many others with severe burns. The bus, carrying 57 passengers, caught fire due to a short circuit and quickly engulfed in flames. The Jaisalmer District Collector has requested family members to identify the deceased.
