CHANDIGARH, Oct 14: For the third consecutive day today, the Punjab Education Department Ministerial Staff (Sub-office) Association held a dharna near the Directorate of Public Instructions (Schools) office demanding the release of the seniority list, settlement of regularisation cases, release of the 20:40:40 ratio grades and transfer of the new district ministerial-level GPF cases to the districts. Association general secretary Sukhdev Singh said their demands should be referred to the Director of Education Department.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Government Primary Teachers Association, Punjab, met the Sate Education Minister Tota Singh to submit a memorandum demanding promotion of block primary educations officers, higher salary grade for head teachers and their appointment at the Primary Education Directorate and formation of power panels to improve primary education and additional stationary and furniture for primary schools.
