The Election Commission on Thursday served a show cause notice on Sukhbir Singh Badal for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct in place for Punjab Assembly polls. A day after slapping a notice on his father and senior Akali Dal leader Parkash Singh Badal. The Commission in its notice has said that Sukhbir Singh Badal had used a helicopter to reach a rally venue. The chopper landed on a school ground, which was a breach of security and violation of Model Code of Conduct for not taking permission from the district authorities. The Commission asked him to file reply to the notice by January 27.
