Talking back
Movers amp; Shakers8230; Before you say not again, read this one. We8217;ve been hearing that many guest celebrities get quite nervous when invited on the show because of Suman8217;s questions and witty answers. Sounds unlikely. Well, here8217;s an example of Suman at his witty best. Actress Moushmi Chatterjee was on the show recently and Suman asked her if she remembered any pranks that she had played on the sets. 8220;I got pregnant twice8221; was her reply. Suman promptly responded with, 8220;I asked you about the pranks you played and not the pranks others played on you8221;. So next time beware of Shekhar Suman!

Good advice
Rakhi Vijan and hubby Rajeev Tandon are on cloud Nine. The reason is their first home production Heena is doing well. For those who have missed the first few episodes of this serial, here is the gist of the story. It starts with Heena getting married to a man who loves someone else and she is rejected by her husband on the first day of their wedded life. We are not sure where the serial goes from here and it looks like neither are the producers. The promos that are aired ask viewers to write in with suggestions on what Heena should do? Whether she should leave her husband? Or whether she should continue with this marriage or go for a divorce? And believe it or not they have got around 2000 letters with that many ideas. Amazing response for a serial just five episodes old.

Striking terror
Karan Shah, the maker of No Problem and its sequel Just No Problem which went off the air in October is back again. And this time with a story called Mrityu to be telecast as part of X-Zone on Zee. This one is different. Why? Well because it looks into life after death. It8217;s about four doctors who induce death into themselves and experience what happens after a man dies. 8220;It8217;s scientifically possible8221; claims Shah. I8217;m not dealing with supernatural.8221; He adds that there is not much medical jargon in the story since viewers will not be able to relate to it. But he says that something from within is going to bother you after seeing it. 8220;I8217;m not talking of external horror but of internal terror. Even while editing some people who saw it were disturbed,8221; he quips. The script is written by Sutanu Gupta and Robin Bhatt and the background music is scored by Dippen Chatterjee who has composed the music for Mani Ratnam, Ram Gopal Verma films. And its been shot in the virgin locales of Khandala andKolhapur and will be aired from February 4 onward.

Surprise package
After producing shows like Star Yaar Kalakaar, Movers amp; Shakers and Harmony it comes as a surprise that In-House productions has come up with the serial Commando, which was called Mission when the pilot was shot. The other surprising thing is that so far all their shows have been aired on Sony but Commando is on Zee. It is about the life of army commandos and it deals with a mission. It stars Saahil Chheda, Deep Raj Rana, Yatin Karyekar and Jahangir Khan in lead roles. The series is being directed by Shahjahan who had earlier directed the Aamir Khan-Neelam starrer Afsana Pyar Ka.

Cut short
Just last week we told you about Mahayagya completing two years and new characters being introduced. After Anil Choudhary shot a few episodes with the new characters it came as a rude shock to hear that the serial was being terminated at 104. 8220;It is the channel8217;s decision,8221; says Choudhary. But one can8217;t understand the strategies of the channel since Mahayagya is one of the top-rated programmes which has its loyal viewers despite the fact that it is pitted against Hasratein, which shares the same slot on Zee. All this after Choudhary had wanted to wind down the serial and the channel granted him an extension. Also, following the channel8217;s abrupt decision, he is unable to find an appropriate end to the saga. After all, he had just written 52 more episodes.
