E-mail threat: Police raid Navi Mumbai residence

Ahead of Ahmedabad blasts, a raid was conducted at a residence in Navi Mumbai following an allegedly threatening e-mail.

Police raided a Navi Mumbai flat and seized a computer in connection with the e-mail sent to television channels threatening more blasts across the country.

The apartment located in the Palm Beach Road area of Sanapada in Navi Mumbai was raided by the Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Mumbai police.

8220;We have raided the house in Gunia buildings and further investigations are presently on. We are verifying the personal details of the individual living there,8221; a senior officer with the ATS told PTI.

A computer has been seized from the apartment and its contents are being verified, officers said.

Sixteen serial blasts rocked Ahmedabad on Saturday claiming 38 lives and injuring 162 others.
