NEW DELHI, June 3: Delhi Vidyut Board DVB scored a 1-0 upset win over formidable Punjab National Bank to earn full points in a gorup-II match of the DSA-OBC Institutional League championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here today.
In another match in the same group, Delhi Telecom got walkover from Delhi Development Authority when the latter failed to turn-up for their game.
After a facile first session with none having opened the account, the second half was expected to be a hot one. But the surge came from DVB instead of PNB. Outside left Vikram Bhandari scored the all-important goal for DVB in the 33rd minute of the game which ultimately sealed the fate of a star-studded PNB.
This was their first defeat in the group league matches. DBV have collected six pionts from five matches while PNB have gathered 10 points from as many games.Telecom have collected six points from five matches while DDA drew a blank from four matches.
