Delhi8217;s Hemant Duggal defeated local hope Himanshu Thakkar 21-17 to qualify for the men8217;s singles main draw of the NSCI Grand Prix all-India prize money Rs 4 lakh badminton tournament on Tuesday.

Delhi8217;s Manmeet Singh pipped Assam8217;s Ajanta Choudhary with identical scores in the best-of-one matches while Praveen Gehlawat beat V Diju of Kerala 21-9. However, three other shuttlers from Kerala 8212; S Thomas, KA Anish and Jason Xavier 8212; sailed into the main draw.
