PUNE, Nov 6: Dr P C Shejwalkar, dean, faculty of management, University of Pune today criticised the Dubhashi committee report 8220;for lacking a deep insight into the real problem with management institutes under the university8221;.

Addressing a press conference, Shejwalkar, himself a member of the committee on management institutes consituted by then Vice-Chancellor Vasant Gowariker in 1995, said the committee chairman Dr P R Dubhashi had not taken other members into confidence while preparing the final report. 8220;The report is worth throwing into the dust bin,8221; he remarked. 8220;The report has not given any substantial evidence to prove allegations made against many management institutes under the University of Pune of following irregular practices. It does not give any specific recommendations as to how to curb possible malpractices8221;, he added.

Shejwalkar said he has prepared a note on the report and will forward it to Vice-Chancellor Dr Arun Nigavekar and the management faculty after consulting the threee member sub-commitee for specific recommendations in this regard.
