
MUMBAI, July 2: The Directorate of Technical Education DTE has finally issued fresh details for first year engineering admissions today, as instructed by the Aurangabad bench of Bombay high court.
The Aurangabad bench on Monday vacated its stay on admission to engineering colleges and directed the DTE to permit students to make nine choices of course-college combination against the earlier three while applying for the 30 per cent state level quota of seats.
8220;We have just received the high court order. In a meeting on Wednesday we had already finalised putting up of advertisements in newspapers detailing the notification8221;, said deputy Director of Technical Education, S D Khare.
Students who are satisfied with their three earlier choices need not apply, he added. 8220;In that case, the forms which they have already submitted will be treated valid8221;, he said. Those who would like to go for the nine choices or desire other changes have to fill up photocopies of the DTE8217;s advertisement scheduled to appearin newspapers and keep a duplicate copy.
The applicants can submit a photocopy of the format to the respective admission centres between July 6 and 12. During this period, the new format will also be made available at the admission centres across the city.
