VADODARA, Feb 16: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation VMC is planning to decentralise the encroachment removal drives.
Deputy Municipal Commissioner Administration H S Patel told Express Newsline on Tuesday that the decentralisation would be done with a view to carry out simultaneous drives in all parts of the city.
He further said the decentralisation would come into effect as soon as the ward offices were provided with vehicles. He, however, did not specify the time limit. According to him, different officers of the encroachment removal squad would head the newly formed squads in four zones.
Albeit, big encroachment programmes and those of the Town Development Department TDO would be undertaken from the main office, he added.
