Late nights in London eye
London at midnight, on New Year8217;s Day, come the millennium is the place to be if you believe the hoopla of the spin doctors. With the Hinduja family being active in helping, as one of the main sponsors of the dome. I asked Veenu Hinduja, one late night, what her plans were as we tucked into some fine fare at Tramps, the night club. She said she was going to be at this dome and it all sounded so regal and English. The queen will unveil the dome to the beats of one of the songs of the millennium. They filled us in on what was in and what was not on the club-restaurant front. We had walked into one of the more happening bars Havana only to walk out again as one could not move let alone eat, drink or enjoy the evening.
Not that we were much more experimental at the night club Tramps. We chatted, ate their famed cheese burger, had fun, caught up on news, said hello to Rishi Sethia, who was with friends, and then, though early we called it a night.
Fabric, the new bodysonic try the floor moves for a translation and you will be in the groove night club that opened with Talvin is another fun club. For the young, it has four levels with four different clubs on each level. In the chill room, the floor is bodysonic and so the word Om8217; seems to reverberate through the whole body with a virtual reality cyberage chic8217;. The whole club can seat about 4,000 people yet there is always a queue to get in. A cool hang out for the very young atheart.
For myself, I prefer Annabels where we brought in close friend Kunal Goswami8217;s birthday. At the private member8217;s only night club, the Christmas decorations were up and with the gold red and green decor the club looked festive and bright. Another lovely evening.
Viresh Chabra, his friend Sunaina, Akash Paul, his lovely wife Nisha, the birthday8217; boy and I had a lovely dinner at Hush, the here-and-now place in London for a meal. Roger Moore8217;s son has opened this bar-cum-eatery and they are booked for weeks to come. After a decent meal, at Akash Paul8217;s insistence we went to the current No 1 club of the season China White. Gosh! Was it an experience! They have a chill room where everyone sits around and just connects. We checked in our coats and went toward the main dance floor where in looked like every man8217;s woman was on the floor. Per square inch.
That means some of the most attractive girls in the whole of the EEC. Rishi Sethia, Loveen, Angad Paul and our whole dinner groop moved into the privatemembers area where we just chilled, joked, laughed and reminisced. What an evening of bonding and fun. Nisha Paul must count as one of the most evolved young ladies in London. As indeed does Veenu Hinduja. Young ladies who are power kegs of maturity and feminity with ample knowledge of the power of their surnames but whisper soft. I did say ladies.
