Doon hit-and-run: One student in Indonesia

The Dehra Dun police believe that one of the three Doon School students allegedly involved in a hit-and-run that left a young teacher dead and another seriously injured, has left the country. The incident occurred on March 28.

Dehradun police teams sent to Chandigarh and Delhi at the addresses of two of the students failed to apprehend them. According to police officials, the father of Uday Pratap Singh, one of the students allegedly involved in the accident told the police team at his Defence Colony home in Delhi that his son had not fled the country but had gone to Indonesia as per plans on March 30.

He, however, promised to present his son before the police after his return on April 10. Meanwhile, the house of Abhimanyu Walia in Sector 34-D, Chandigarh was found locked. Abhimanyu was allegedly driving the Honda City which hit the motorbike.
