Dogra8217;s extension challenged

CHANDIGARH, Dec 3: The extension in service granted to Punjab Director General Police P.C. Dogra was today challenged in the Punjab and Haryana High Court by three Additional Deputy Generals of Police.

In their petition, ADGP Jarnail Singh, ADGP Mal Singh Bhullar and ADGP Sarabjit Singh, have sought directions for quashing the order dated Sept 25, 1998 by which a second extension in service was granted to Dogra upto March 31, 1999.

Taking up the petition, Justice J.L. Gupta and Justice N.C. Khichi referred it to the Chief Justice for transfering the same to some other bench. The three ADGPs had earlier filed a similar petition before CAT, which was disposed off on Wednesday.
