District athletics from Sept 4

PUNE, Aug 26: The Senior (men, women, boys and girls U-22) selection trials cum district athletic meet will be held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi from September 4-6.

The meet, opened for the juniors also, is organised by Hutatma Babu Ganu Mandal and will form the barometer to select the district team for the following State meet to be held at the same venue from September 7-8, informed Prahlad Sawant, secretary, Pune District Amateur Athletics Association, here today.

The district selection committee comprises of P D Peter, H P Joshi, Anil Pawar, and Rajendra Chitnis. Last date to submit the entries is August 31.For further details, interested persons may contact Mitra Mandal, PIMT Office. Tel No. 4448360.
