Airports resume work
Following the adoption of a uniform pay scale policy, all the 120 airports of the AAI have resumed functioning. This move has settled the recent agitations in the different sections of the authority, which had disrupted normal air traffic recently.

Industrial affairs award to Indian professor

Dr. R.K. SHARMA of the Department of Chemistry, Delhi University, has been awarded the International and Industrial Affairs award by the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. The recognition is for his pioneering work in designing anti-AIDS chelators.
Seminar on education
Over 300 delegates from schools across the country will be attending a seminar on partnership in education. The meet is being organised tocelebrate the silver jubilee of the National Progressive Schools Conference. Between February 18 and 20, leading educationalists will address the conference.
SRCC alumni association
Girish Ahuja has been elected the president of the Alumni Association of Shri Ram College of Commerce. The other members elected at the Annual General Body Meeting include J.R. Monga (vice-president), C.M. Jain (vice-president), M.P. Gupta (secretary), O.P. Saluja (joint secretary) and Ravi Gupta (treasurer).
Fine arts award
Kun Priya Parvathy was awarded the Gayatri Fine Art’s Thanpura Award in a vocal music competition on Sunday. Over 40 people took part in the music concert organised to pay homage to Saint Tyagaraja.
