Postal strike to affect sevices
Due to a strike called by two federations of postal employees on July 8, the Delhi Circle of the department will maintain skeletal services: Booking of registered letters, parcels, and other articles, all money orders and speed post articles would be suspended during the period of the strike.

DU results declared
The results of the following Delhi University examinations have been declared. Students are advised to contact their respective colleges on the afternoon of July 8: BA (Hons) Punjabi III, BA (Hons) Urdu I/II/III and BSc Microbiology III, South Campus.

DUTA approaches PM
Delhi University Teachers Association, while condemning the attitude of Union HRD minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi on his `stubborn’ attitude on the issue of pay revision, has approached Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee for intervention in the crisis.

Navjyoti praised by UN
The United Nations General Assembly praised the efforts of Navjyoti, a Delhi Police foundation for correction, de-addiction and rehabilitation, at its special session against drug abuse held from 8-10 June. This was stated by Kiran Bedi, who was invited to the session. Navjyoti runs de-addiction centres in the slums of Yamuna Pushta and Jahangir Puri.
