
Power supply to be affected
The electricity supply in Ramesh Nagar, Bali Nagar, Rajouri Nagar, Vishal Enclave, Raghubir Nagar and Khyala will remain partially affected from 7.00 a.m. till 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday for the emergency maintenance of 33 kilowatt Rohtak road-Rewari line, the Delhi Vidyut Board spokesman said.
ICAR entrance results declared
The Indian Council for Agricultural Research ICAR has announced the result of the all India entrance examination for admission to the undergraduate courses in Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences. Against 1,450 seats available in all the disciplines for agriculture and allied sciences, 2,471 candidates have been called for counselling on the basis of the merit which will begin on July 13 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute Pusa. Eligible candidates will also get national talent scholarship on the basis of this examination.
Traffic diversions at ITO crossing
To decongest the ITO crossing, the Delhi Traffic Police have diverted many buses on to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and Vishnu Digambar Marg. However, it is likely to create more problems than solving them. The Lok Kalyan Samiti in a statement said on the DDU marg there is a school and several thousand children come and go throughout the day. The Samiti in a statement also said on the Digambar marg there is an eye hospital where old, infirm and visually impaired people come daily for eye check ups and even they could get hurt.
Enact law against publicly spitting8217;
An appeal has been made to the Delhi Government and Raj Nivas to enact a law against publicly urinating and spitting. The appeal made by Divya Jayaswal, conservancy and sanitation committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi MCD, also requests that there should be a law so that the offender could be challaned, arrested or fined. This would help clean Delhi, limit pollution and also check health hazards.
GSTA elections
The decision regarding elections for the Government School Teachers8217; Association GSTA, Delhi, has been taken by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. The notification in this regard was issued on June 12 by T.C. Nakh Joint Director, Returning Officer, according to which elections will be held on July 31. The nomination process will start from July 8.
