Defence PRO passes away

The Public Relations Officer PRO of the Ministry of Defence Palam Area and Western Air Command, Wing Commander Manish Gandhi, passed away on Sunday after a long battle with cancer. His mortal remains were consigned to flames with full military honours at the Brar Square Crematorium on Monday. Senior officials of the Directorate of Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, the Western Air Command, the Indian Air Force, a number of journalists, friends and relations paid their last respects to the officer before the funeral. Born on July 16, 1966, Wg Cdr Gandhi was commissioned in the Administrative Branch of the Indian Air Force on December 17 1988. He leaves behind his wife, son and daughter.
