
DAUSA, SEPT 28: The stage is set for holdingby-polls in Dausa parliamentary constituency and Lunkaransar assembly seat in Rajasthan tomorrow.
Although five candidates are in the fray for each seat, the main contest is between the Congress and BJP.
Around 12.64 lakh of the electorate is eligible to vote in Dausa while more than 3.15 lakh voters are eligible in Lunkaransar.
While the Dausa by-poll has been caused by the death of senior Congress leader Rajesh Pilot, by-election to Lunkaransar was necessitated following the death of senior Congress leader Bhim Raj Chaudhary.
The Congress has fielded Virendra Beniwal, son of the late Chaudhary, in Lunkaransar while it has fielded Rama Pilot, widow of Rajesh Pilot, from Dausa.
BJP has fielded Rohistashwa Koumar and Manik Chand Surana in Dausa and Lunkaransar respectively.
Adequate security has been arranged for conducting the polls in which electronic voting machines are to be used.
