Cash, goods stolenCash and goods worth Rs 25,000 were stolen from a provision store near Pratapnagar overbridge on Sunday night, the police said. According to the police, one Gopalbhai Laxmanbhai Lakhani the owner of Mahesh provision store, had locked his shop on Monday night, but found the lock broken and cash and goods stolen when he returned on Monday morning. The Makarpura police is investigating.Bail rejectedBail applications of three people charged under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were turned down by Additional District and Sessions Judge R M Parmar on Monday. According to a petition filed against them by the city police on September 14 last, the accused Mahesh Kantilal Parmar, Umesh alias Pintoo and Nimesh Brahmbhatt were caught by members of the Prevention of Crime Branch and 916 gms of ganja worth Rs 21,000 and 314 gm of brown sugar worth Rs 31.40 lakh were seized from them. A scooter, on which the three were riding, was also impounded , the police added.
