Girl raped in Waghodia
A 16-year-old girl belonging to Bhilwas mohalla of Waghodia was reportedly gangraped by three youths of the same mohalla on October 19. According to the police, the girl was returning after participating in a garba when one of the accused dragged her to a nearby farm where he, along with two others, raped her. A fourth accused, though he did not participate in the rape, threatened the girl of dire consequences if she brought the incident to the knowledge of her parents or the police. The Waghodia police have registered a case.

Vehicles stolen
Four vehicles were reported stolen from different areas of the city on Thursday. According to the police, a Hero Honda DNF-9282 worth Rs 10,000 was stolen by thieves using duplicate keys from outside Suraj Plaza in Sayajigunj and a Luna moped GJ 6 FF 1559 worth Rs 10,000 from near the overhead water tank in Karelibaug. Two other Hero Honda motorcycles, bearing registration numbers GJ-6-B-5816 and GJ 6 Q 2762 and valued at Rs 25,000 and Rs 22,000 respectively, were reported stolen from IPCL garba ground in Jawaharnagar.

Man assaulted
One Ramanbhai Shantilal Tadvi, a resident of Kalali, has complained to the Makarpura police that he was assaulted, and Rs 200 looted from him, by three persons in Makarpura area on Wednesday. He has named Chhaganbhai Mohanbhai Mali, Kanubhai Mohanbhai Mali and Bhikhiben Rameshbhai Mali as accused in the FIR.
