Chain-snatchers at it again
The chain-snatchers who had gone into hibernation after the police took a decision to book them under robbery case, they resurfaced on Tuesday and pulled gold chains from neck of two women on Tuesday evening. According to police, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched gold chain worth Rs 8,000 from the neck of one Dakshaben Bhupendra Hiralal Padariya, while she was returning after serving leftover food to a cow opposite her house in Janakpuri Society under Makarpura police station. In the second incident, the miscreants snatched gold chain worth Rs 8,000 from Hinaben Bharatbhai Mehta of Harinanagar Society while she was coming back after purchasing vegetables.

Liquor seized
Prohibition police of Chhotaudepur recently seized illicit liquor and raw materials worth Rs 14,900 during raids at different places in their jurisdiction. According to PSI L D Baria, illicit liquor worth Rs 12,500 was seized for the third time from Malusinghoz village alone and 2500 litres of liquor wash was also seized and destroyed.

Atrocities case
The Waghodia police have registered a case under Atrocities Act against proprietor of Ajwa Fun World Rajesh Jain and manager Avinash Gupta for assaulting and calling one of their former employees as chamar. According to police, Rasikbhai Phulabhai Harijan, who had gone to collect his wage dues on Wednesday, was called names by Jain and beaten up by Gupta who also threatened to throw him into the Ajwa Lake. No one was arrested so far, the police said.

Cheating
The J P Road police has filed a case of cheating against one Ajitbhai Viswakar, a resident of 303, Vraj Apartments, near Race Course State Transport Depot for selling a Maruti Car worth Rs 1.61 lakh to one Bipinkumar Patel, a resident of New Sama Road, though the car was not his.

Stolen
One Natwarsinh Rathod, in a complaint with the Sayajiganj Police Station, has stated that some unidentified persons stole his briefcase containing miscellaneous and cash worth Rs 19,180, while he was on his was to Vadodara from the Jarod bus depot.
