Fatal fall
Ritesh Sureshbhai Jhala, 12, succumbed to fall injuries late on Tuesday night. According to the Katargam police, Ritesh fell from the balcony of his third floor apartment in Gotalawadi and sustained head injuries. He was admitted to a private hospital, where he died. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered.
Hit and run
One Ishwarbhai Patel 50 died when he was hit by a moped on the Ring Road on Wednesday morning. According to the Umra police, Patel was crossing the road near Wadekar hospital on the Ring road when a person riding a TVS Scooty hit him. Though he was shifted to the New Civil hospital, he sucummed to his injuries later. A case under sections of the IPC and MVA has been registered.
Burns death
Hinaben Virji, a housewife residing in the Bahucharnagar area of Katargam was declared dead by doctors of the Ashaktashram hospital on Wednesday, where she was being treated for burn injuries since October 29. According to the Katargam police, 27-year old Hinaben, sustained burn injuries, when the stove she was cooking on exploded. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on admissions. A case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered.
Vehicle theft
A Hero Honda motorcycle GCX 4696 was reported stolen from the parking lot in the Dahyapark area of Varachha, the police said. Complainant Jairam Thesiya said he had parked his motorcycle in the apartment parking lot in Krishna Complex. A case under IPC 379 has been registered by the Varachha police.
